Woodbridge College
Woodbridge College, originally opened in 1958 as Woodbridge High School, has a long-standing history of serving the community of Woodbridge. In 1991, following a decline in enrolment, the school was re-established as Woodbridge College, initially designed as an academy school offering an alternative program for students across York Region. At that time, students wore uniforms, committed to a prescribed curriculum that included physical education up to Grade 12 and French up to Grade 11, and signed a letter of commitment upon enrolment.
As curriculum reforms and housing growth in the community reshaped student needs, Woodbridge College evolved once again, becoming a neighbourhood secondary school serving students in Grades 9 through 12. When you are looking at different schools and their performance scores, it is important to keep in mind that there could be a number of reasons for low marks.
