Caribou Park is a neighbourhood located south of Lawrence Avenue and west of Avenue Road. It has a feel, with streets lined with towering trees instead of sidewalks. Many homes in the area have backyards that border Otter Creek adding to the atmosphere. Residents enjoy access to the Avenue Road shopping area, Otter Creek park and numerous schools – both private. The Yonge Lawrence subway station is a walk away or a quick bus ride of five minutes. For those driving Highway 401 is five minutes north while downtown Toronto can be reached in 15 minutes heading south.

At the Barbara Frum Public Library on 20 Covington Road you’ll find a children’s storytelling area collections in French and multicultural themes and an auditorium that can seat up to 150 people. The library is connected to a recreation centre spanning 10,000 feet which includes rooms, for various activities, a kitchen/craft space and meeting rooms.

Caribou Park, Toronto Transit

Caribou Park is situated in a neighbourhood with access to public transportation. The Lawrence and Avenue Road buses offer connections to stations along the Yonge University Spadina subway line. For those looking to stay active the Lawrence subway station is a walk away.

If you prefer driving, Avenue Road offers a route to downtown that typically takes twenty minutes. Additionally a quick five minute drive north, on Avenue Road will connect commuters to Highway 401.

Caribou Park features two areas. The houses, near Avenue Road and east of the park designed in Georgian, Tudor and English Cottage styles date back to the 1930s and 1940s. Meanwhile the properties along Otter Crescent bordering the ravine and Otter Creek boast locations with premium prices.

On the side of Caribou Park towards Bathurst Street are split level homes and ranch style bungalows constructed in the 1950s and 1960s. Some of these houses have been replaced with custom built residences. Many residents in this region belong to Toronto’s orthodox community concentrated around Bathurst Street.
