Moreover the city boasts parks and nature trails that make it an ideal destination for enjoying natures wonders. Additionally it proudly stands as the home of John E. MacDonald—a member of the Group of 7 artists.
An absolute must visit is the North Maple Regional Park—a haven for sports lovers and culture enthusiasts. In April 2018 this visionary project was approved by the city council with plans to transform spaces into a sprawling 900 acre parkland featuring approximately 364 hectares (800 900) that opened last year! The initial phase includes two FIFA turf fields along, with picnic areas thoughtfully shaded by shelters or trees where you can revel in your little piece ‘o heaven.
Last but certainly not least lets not forget about Canadas Wonderland—an attraction nestled here in Maple.
Canada’s Wonderland
Canadas Wonderland has been a destination, for excitement, family enjoyment and top notch entertainment since 1981. It is now situated in Vaughan, north of Toronto. The park boasts a collection of over 200 rides, including 17 exhilarating roller coasters, two dedicated areas for children Splash Works (a sprawling 30 acre water park) and a diverse range of dining options.
Visitors have the option to purchase either a day pass or an annual pass both granting them unlimited access to all the rides and attractions. Canadas Wonderland operates from May to September when it welcomes visitors of all ages. The outdoor setting provides a change from activities and allows guests to enjoy the rides and attractions regardless of the weather conditions.
While most rides are suitable for all age groups there are some specifically designed for children and adults. The Leviathan stands as Canadas fastest roller coaster while the Vortex ranks among the worlds thrilling spinning coasters. Ample parking is available onsite for convenience.
In addition to its offerings Canadas Wonderland also hosts special events throughout the year such, as Halloween Haunt and WinterFest—an immersive holiday celebration.

Transit
Whether you’re moving around on foot by bicycle or, by car there are transportation options, in this vibrant community. With a rail transit station and 122 street level stops nearby getting around has become incredibly convenient.
