History of Woodbridge Vaughan
Woodbridge is a village situated in Vaughan, Ontario. Originally known as Burwick it was later renamed Woodbridge due, to the abundance of bridges that were constructed to span the Humber River and its tributaries.
The roots of Woodbridges history can be traced back to the century when English immigrants first settled in the area. Initially it was predominantly a region until the advent of the Toronto Grey and Bruce Railway which brought industry and tourism to this locality.
