‘We have to keep building’: Province outlines investment in public transit by Brian Capitao
Ontario Minister of Education and MPP for King-Vaughan Stephen Lecce has formally announced the completion of renovations at Rutherford GO station and a subway stop in Thornhill as part of the new Yonge north subway extension. The latest platform will be at Yonge and Royal Orchard Blvd.
“Shovels are in the ground,” said Lecce.
The Yonge North Subway extension will expand on Line 1, moving north past Finch station and into York Region in; Vaughan, Markham, and Richmond Hill. So far, stations at Steeles, Clark, and Royal Orchard have been excavated, according to Metrolinx’s website…
